Acts 20:1-16

I. Away from Ephesus (vs. 1-6)
   a. When does Paul leave Ephesus? _

   b. Does Paul ‘sneak’ out of Ephesus?

   c. Where is he going when he leaves?

   d. What is his main objective on this trip?

   e. Paul spends three months in Greece. He had been there before
  (Acts 17:16 - !8:1) Why does he leave?

   f. What is in Macedonia that Paul would want to return that way?

   g. Who are listed as Paul’s traveling companions?

 

II. At Troas (vs. 23-32)
   a. What day of the week are the disciples meeting and what is the
     significance?

   b. Why would Paul preach so long that night?

   c. What happens with Eutychus?

   d. How is Eutychus restored to life?

   e. Paul talks with the disciples until dawn, then what does he do?

 

III. On to Miletus (vs. 33-41)
   a. Do Paul and his companions travel together as a group?

   b. Why does Paul decide to bypass Ephesus?

   c. Where is Paul intent on being on the Day of Pentecost?


IV. Application: In a real sense, Paul is on a farewell tour of the churches he has planted.
What evidence do we have that these churches were very important to Paul?
Are there churches/believers that we hold as dearly?
