Introduction to Genesis: Genesis – meaning origins was the title given by the first translators of the Septuagint. Moses is historically recognized as the author (although some scholars believe it is the summation of various contributors). It was believed to have been written @ 1400 BC. The book of Genesis spans the time from creation to the sojourn of the Israelites in Egypt.

I. Day 1 (vs. 1-5)
