I. Abraham Lies Again (vs. 1-2)

a. Abraham left Mamre (Gen 18:1) and traveled south and pitched his tent in Gerar.  What fear does it seem Abraham he carried with him everywhere he went? 

 

 


b. Are his fears warranted? 

 

 


c. What has and does his fear prompt him to do in verse 2? 

 

 


d. Sarah must have aged well because what happens when Abimelech sees ninety-year-old Sarah and is told she is Abraham’s sister? 

 

 

II. God Warns Abimelech (vs. 3-7)

           a. In what way does God get Abimelech’s attention? 

 

 

         
          b. Specifically, what was God’s charge against Abimelech? 

 

 

         
          c. Does Abimelech offer a defense that the Righteous Judge accepts?

III. Sarah Restored to Abraham (vs. 8-18)
