Pastor Tom's March Newsletter 2020

March 2020

Dear Church Family,

The willows may begin to bud on the warmer days of March even though spring is still a little way off. This is God’s way of preparing them for the short growing season. Are you entering a growing season? We should always be growing as Christians, but we grow most through times of difficulty. se times are where God shows us Who He is and that we can always trust Him. God is doing great things all around us… and in us…and through us. Rejoice and get ready to bloom where God has planted you!

Just last week there were two discipleship classes started one for the ladies and another for the men. The ladies study meets at Wayland Baptist University Tuesday evenings 6:00 pm to 7:30pm. And the men meet at Faith Recovery Fellowship the same evening 6:10-7:50pm. God will use these studies for your growth and His glory!

Jennifer Gosh is already on the job planning VBS. This year it will be held June 1-5. Please consider being part of the VBS team and help with this powerful evangelistic outreach to our community. Each year we have been blessed to see children come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Let Jennifer know where you can plug in this year.

As you can see this is an exciting time to be a part of Fairview Loop Baptist Church and I pray you will take full advantage by investing yourself completely. God is at work and if we ask Him, I believe He will show us His glory!

Here is a heads-up announcement for an Israel trip that is still over a year away. I’m currently planning a trip in conjunction with Wayland Baptist University staff. The trip would be 12 days… May 25 – June 5, 2021. I will have the anticipated costs for the trip and more details by July. For anyone interested …there will be an add on trip of four days to Egypt, June 5 – June 9, 2021. This would come at additional cost. By July I will have brochures and locations to be visited with an overall schedule. Stay tuned!!!

John 11:40b “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?”
