Pastor Tom's June Newsletter 2019

June 2019

It is hard to believe that we are into summer already. Our world has once again turned warm and green and God has been faithful to mark the cadence of time by the changing of the seasons. We are in the process of gearing up our children’s VBS…June 3-7. There are still opportunities to serve so please get with Jennifer Gosh soon. This is a wonderful outreach opportunity. Even if you are not physically involved please commit to pray for Vacation Bible School.

Remember our picnic the first Sunday in June following the morning service. This is time to fellowship and get to know one another better, so please invite friends. The grills will be going with hamburgers and hotdogs so bring a potluck dish to share or a dessert and come out for a great time.

Hands and Feet Week is the third week of June! This is our youth mission week where they spend a week at church and each day go out to do service projects for the elderly and those in need. There are still opportunities to participate if you are a youth in middle or high school or to help with this home mission effort. If you can help with preparation of meals there is a spot for you. If you can help chaperone and you have your background check done there is a spot for you. If you can help donate food items to feed the youth you can do that too! Or if you need help with a project that the youth can do, sign up and let the youth leaders know. The youth will do service projects, have an intensive Bible study / devotions time, worship time, and lots of fun to round out the week!!!

So how has your personal outreach been going? I still firmly believe that if each of us who are believers will reach out to at least one person for the purpose of sharing the Gospel that God will show us tremendous fruit from that labor of love. Pray for the lost, pray for opportunities to witness, pray for boldness, trust the Holy Spirit, invite them to church, be a friend, and watch what God can do!!!

I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go into the house of the LORD.” Psalm 122:1
