Pastor Tom's December 2020 Newsletter

December 2020

Jesus came as the Light of the World. This year as you celebrate Christmas and the birth of our Savior enjoy the lights as a reminder of His light that continues to shine in a dark world. Please mark your calendars to be sure not to miss the:

Children’s Christmas program, “Angels Aware” on December 13th at 6 pm and the,

Christmas Cantata "Is He Worthy?" presented on December 20th during the morning service and the,

Christmas Eve Candlelight service, December 24th 6:30 pm.

Enjoy time with family this year. We continue to be hindered in many of the things we enjoy at Christmas like travel and visiting relatives and friends and hosting parties etc. so pray that the pandemic will come to an end soon. In spite of all the constraints we are grateful for the opportunities we have had to tell others about Jesus and the many ways God has allowed us continue to grow as a church under His wonderful protection and provision!

Pastor Kyle Sparks celebrates his one year anniversary with FLBC as of December 1st! Please let him know how much his ministry here has meant to you and encourage him as he continues to minister.

December is our emphasis for international missions and we will once again be participating in the Lottie Moon Christmas offering. Every dollar of this offering is used to support our international missionaries.

Linda and I for the first time in 24 years will not be able to host our annual open house this year. It grieves us as we truly love to open our home to our church family, but we must balance being wise and not living in fear… prayerfully, we will be able to resume next year.

John 8:12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

Merry Christmas
