November 2018 Newsletter

November 2018

November is a transitional month where we are moving steadily into winter.  We start out mild enough but will see the first real cold of winter by month’s end.   DO NOT hibernate! Stay connected to your family, friends, and church!!!  Break out the boots, coats, and gloves and keep pressing on after all we start gaining daylight in less than two months.
At Thanksgiving we remember that there are many things for which we are thankful.  I encourage you to spend time with family and take some time to share what you are thankful for this year.  As you have opportunity look for ways to be a blessing to others as well.  As a church we have been very blessed in this past year.  We have seen people saved and God has added to our church.  We were blessed to host nine work teams that contributed many hours of service to the Lord at FLBC.  For all these things we should remember to express our gratitude to God for the many new friends we made and the tremendous step forward for our church body.  We have also experienced the blessing of answered prayers with some of our church family that have weathered serious health issues…and God continues to sustain them.  God has also answered some of our earnest requests in ways that were hard but even through the hard things His peace and presence was carrying us …and we are so thankful.

Thank you, church family for all your many expressions of love and encouragement last month for “pastor appreciation.”   It is a joy to serve the Lord together with you!!!
