March 2018

Dear Church Family,

Spring is just around the corner.  The days are getting longer.  Things are really looking up!  Have you ever considered that grumbling and rejoicing are impossible to do at the same time?  If we simply fix our eyes on Christ and rejoice in Him we will find it far easier to rejoice and shine His light into dark places.

Please take a few minutes and encourage our newest deacon Mike Zuyus and his family.  His ordination service will be Sunday March 4th.   I thank God for those He calls out to serve and am grateful that they have said yes!

The willows will begin to bud on the warmer days of March even though spring is still a little way off.  This is God’s way of making sure they take full advantage of the growing season.  In the same way we as a church are staging things so that we will be able to take full advantage of the building season.  The plans are in the process of being approved, the work teams are lined up, and David Suiter is our project managers for our building project. We are planning to break ground in April Lord willing! There are still things that we can do to prepare.  Loraine Pentimone is coordinating meals for our work teams and there is still an opportunity is someone would like to coordinate some sightseeing / recreation for the work crews.  I am compiling a list of homes that would be willing and able to house a couple when needed. Continue to pray for this project that we finish strong, support the work financially as the Lord would have you, and plan to participate as much as you can to build or support the builders.  Please be a part of this where you can and I know God will bless your service. (Galatians 6:9)

As you can see this is an exciting time to be a part of Fairview Loop Baptist Church and I pray you will take full advantage by investing yourself completely.  God is at work and if we ask Him I believe He will show us His glory!  John 11:40b “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?”
